The 2011 BMW 5 Series is ready to hit the market by the end of 2010 as 2011 model vehicle. The new model comes with more power and few added features. The model is also larger than the previous version. As the body is produced using the aluminum body panels in fenders, roof and other body parts, the weight of the model is comparatively less when compared with the previous version.
BMW 5 Series Engine
Though the exact dimensions of the wheel base are not known, it is likely to come with enhanced dimensions. The engines to the 2011 BMW 5 Series model include a 3.0 liter twin turbo engine for the 540i, while the 550i will be powered by a 4.4 liter V8 model.
BMW 5 Series Features
The 2011 BMW 5 Series is designed and produced based on the next generation 6 series and current 7 series platform. The major competitors to the model include Cadillac CTS, Volvo V70, Acura TL, Infiniti G series and Mercedes Benz SL class.
The 2011 BMW 5 Series is also featured with the most advanced features like navigation system with real time traffic updates and weather updates, air conditioning with automatic climate control, leather upholstery, rear view camera, power steering wheel and four wheel antilock disc brakes.
The BMW 5-Series mid-size sport sedan has been completely redesigned for 2011, and it’s more of a driver’s car than the outgoing 2010 5-Series—or most other mid-size luxury sedans—while still upping the technology ante and not forgetting about the comfort and luxury that matters.
